Why Old City Walking Tour so popular?
Traditional local dance and show
The Baku Old Town fortress was built to defend the rich, developing city located on a Silk Way from foreign invaders.
The city is built on a high hill, in the form of an amphitheater. It is exposed to the sea in the lower part. With its triple(in ancient times) row of fortress walls, the Maiden Tower and other fortification facilities, The Old City or Icherisheher appeared to be an impressive stronghold.
